These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ThePesula Oy’s laundry pickup and delivery services (“Services”) and our website at www.thepesula.fi (“Website”). By placing an order or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
ThePesula Oy is a limited liability company registered in Finland. Our registered office address and business ID (Y-tunnus) will be displayed on the Website once officially registered. These Terms are drafted in compliance with Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki
38/1978), GDPR, and applicable EU consumer protection directives.
ThePesula Oy provides the following laundry services:
• Wash & Fold — Garments are washed and neatly folded for return.
• Wash & Iron — Garments are washed, dried, and professionally ironed.
• Iron Only — Clean garments ironed and returned ready to wear.
• Dry Cleaning — Delicate items cleaned using professional dry-cleaning methods.
• Shoe Care — Professional cleaning and care for footwear.
All services include pickup from and delivery to the customer’s specified address within our service area. Pricing is per piece (individual garment/item). No kilogram-based pricing is applied.
Orders are placed via the ThePesula website or app. Upon successful booking, you will receive an email or SMS confirmation with your order details, estimated pickup time, and estimated delivery window
Pricing is displayed per item before you confirm your order. You will receive a final itemised receipt once garments are received and counted at our facility. ThePesula reserves the right to adjust pricing if items are significantly different from those declared at booking.
• Our standard delivery turnaround is 4–10 business days depending on service type and current order volume.
• Rush orders may be available at additional cost, subject to availability.
• We will contact you via the phone number or email provided to confirm exact pickup and delivery windows.
• Customers must ensure someone is available at the address or provide specific instructions (e.g., doorstep/locker drop-off).
• ThePesula is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect address information or inaccessible premises
• You may cancel an order free of charge up to 12 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
• Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled pickup are non-refundable.
• If ThePesula cancels a pickup due to operational reasons, a full refund will be issued within 5–7 business days.
• Refunds for service quality complaints are handled case by case (see Section 8).
Under Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Chapter 6), consumers have the right to cancel distance contracts within 14 days. However, this right does not apply once the service has been performed with the consumer’s explicit consent.
• Customers must inform ThePesula of any special care instructions or delicate items at the time of booking.
• ThePesula will follow standard Finnish care label (ISO 3758) instructions for all garments.
• ThePesula’s maximum liability for a lost or irreparably damaged garment is 10× the cleaning price for that item.
• ThePesula is not liable for: pre-existing damage, colour fading due to age, embellishment loss on decorated items, or shrinkage of non-declared delicate fabrics.
• Claims for damaged or missing items must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery
Customers agree to:
• Ensure all pockets are emptied before handing garments to the pickup agent.
• Declare fragile, expensive, or special-care items at the time of booking.
• Provide accurate address and contact information.
• Be available or provide clear instructions for pickup/delivery.
• Not submit items containing hazardous materials (chemicals, biological waste, etc.).ePesula of any special care instructions or delicate items at the time of booking.
• ThePesula will follow standard Finnish care label (ISO 3758) instructions for all garments.
• ThePesula’s maximum liability for a lost or irreparably damaged garment is 10× the cleaning price for that item.
• ThePesula is not liable for: pre-existing damage, colour fading due to age, embellishment loss on decorated items, or shrinkage of non-declared delicate fabrics.
• Claims for damaged or missing items must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery
If you are dissatisfied with our Services:
1. Contact us first at support@thepesula.fi with your order number and details.
2. We will respond within 5 business days with a resolution or investigation update.
3. If unresolved, Finnish consumers may escalate to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, www.kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi). This process is free of charge and typically handled in Finnish or Swedish.

All content on the ThePesula website — including logos, images, text, and design — is the property of ThePesula Oy and protected under Finnish and EU intellectual property law. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is prohibited.
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (see Section 2 of this document) and GDPR. By using our Services, you consent to data processing as described therein.
ThePesula reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Website with an updated date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise
